EXCURSION TO THE COVE AND HISTORICAL TOWN OF PISAGUA

This tour is aimed at those passionate about the War of the Pacific.  We invite you to discover the main stage of the first amphibious landing in modern history in a war conflict, on the coasts of Pisagua.

Interesting experience departing from the Hotel at 08:30 hrs, with an impressive view of “Punta Gruesa” beach and the Rada of Iquique.  Connection with Panamericana towards Pisagua Cove, going down to “Playa Blanca” (the white beach), where the first echelon of the Chilean Army landed (the first amphibious operation of modern wars), to observe forts and trenches of the Allied Army for its defense.

Visit to the Human Rights Memorial.  Then the Clock Tower, Municipal Theater and Jail Building. Lunch of seafood in a typical restaurant and on the way back, we will visit the Dolores train Station and the Main square where the Battle of November 6, 1879 took place, to have refreshments.
