Departure from Iquique via Route A – 16 and visit the former Saltpeter and Ghost Town of Humberstone, to see its typical buildings such as the Theater, Market, General store, Hotel, School, Tennis Court and more. Later, we connect the Panamerican Highway, crossing Pozo Almonte town and the Tamarugal Forest in the driest place on Earth and arrive to Pintados Salt Flat to watch the Geoglyphs of Pintados, mystic precolumbian artistic samples.
Back to main highway and continue South. Stop at Quillagua besides Loa River, to have Box Lunch in a picnic zone. Then stopover in Chug Chug to see the Geoglyphs. Continue crossing Calama city and arriving finally to San Pedro of Atacama (8.016 ft. o.s.l.).
