PHOTO SAFARI NATIONAL PARKS & HOT HIGHLANDS SPRINGS (2 Days - 1 Night)

Day 01: Giant of Atacama – Chusmiza Hot Springs – Isluga Volcano.

Departure at 7:30 am to cross the desert towards the Atacama Giant, the world’s largest geoglyph in the human figure. Breakfast and visit to the Chuzmiza Ravine to enjoy its hot springs. Then we will cross the Aroma Valley and the Valley of Mars, also known as the Valley of Happiness for its geological formations. Visit to the textile village of Cariquima for a typical Aymara lunch at a restaurant. Afterwards, visit Isluga Volcano National Park to admire its wildlife and enjoy the Enquelga Hot Springs. Transfer to the town of Colchane for a typical Aymara dinner and overnight stay at a hotel (3,750 m.a.s.l.)        

Day 02: Isluga National Park – Surire Salt Flat and Wildlife.        

Breakfast and transfer to Isluga National Park (3,800 m.a.s.l.). Time for a hike admiring the national park and visiting the Andean villages of Isluga, Enquelga, and Mauque.  Interact with locals to see their animals and learn about their weaving. Visit the Arabilla Lagoons and arrive at the Surire Salt Flat (4,250 m.a.s.l.) to admire its beautiful landscape and wildlife, including rheas, viscachas, flamingos, vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. Box lunch and time for a hike along the edge of the salt flat before beginning the return to Iquique. Arrival in Iquique at 9:00 PM

Tips: 

Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a swimsuit, and a personal towel for the hot springs. A jacket and long pants are recommended for the cold altitude, as well as athletic or hiking boots.
