Day 01: Atacama Giant – Valley of Mars – Puchuldiza Geysers.

Departure from the hotel at 7:30 a.m., visiting the Atacama Giant located on Cerro Unita (1,266 m.a.s.l.). The world’s largest humanoid geoglyph. Stop at the Chuzmiza Ravine viewpoint for refreshments.  Visit to the Puchuldiza Geysers, jets of hot water that emerge from the subsoil and form an iceberg. Crossing the Aroma Valley and the Valley of Mars with their geological formations, to visit the village of Cariquima and its artisans. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in the town of Colchane, bordering Bolivia (3,750 m.a.s.l.).     

Day 02: Isluga National Park – Surire Salt Flat – Vicuñas Reserve – Putre.         

Breakfast and departure for Isluga Volcano National Park, home to a great diversity of birds along the Isluga River. Visit to the village of Enquelga to enjoy its hot springs, and the village of Mauque to meet its people, see how they spin wool for their handicrafts, and visit the animal corrals. Cross the Aravilla Lagoons and the Surire Salt Flat (4,250 m.a.s.l.) and its wildlife, visit the Guallatire Volcano, and the Las Vicuñas Reserve. Arrival in Putre (3,600 m.a.s.l.). Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Putre.

Day 03: Lauca National Park –  Chungara Lake – Cotacotani Lagoons. 

Breakfast in Putre and transfer for an excursion to Lauca National Park, to visit Chungara Lake and have a boxed lunch (4,500 m.a.s.l.), the Cotacotani Lagoons, and the town of Parinacota to learn about its handicrafts.  On the return journey to Arica, visit the  Copaquilla Pucara, the towns of Socoroma and Poconchile, and the Lluta Valley with its olive and vegetable crops. Arrival in Arica, dropping passengers off at their reserved accommodation in Arica or returning to Iquique.

Tips: 

Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a swimsuit, and a personal towel for the hot springs. A jacket and long pants are recommended for the cold altitude, as well as athletic or hiking boots. 

NOTE: Not suitable tour, for people with heart or lung problems, such as angina, coronary heart disease, lung dysfunction, etc.
